Join us Wednesday, Jan. 15 for our January general meeting. Doors open at 7:30 for snacks and socializing, and the meeting will start around 8 p.m. January is a time for resolutions, and if you’re resolution is to read more or parent better, this is the meeting for you.
Dara Lovitz, mom of 7-year-old fraternal twin girls and author, will be joining us to discuss her book, “Twinsight: A Guide to Raising Emotionally Healthy Twins.” Drawing on more than 90 interviews with adult twins and their non-twin siblings, insight from educators and psychologists, and exhaustive research, she offers parents a definitive roadmap for raising emotionally healthy twins of any age. She will share tips for fostering peace among siblings, encouraging individuality, managing twin identity issues, etc. She will also share some of the most surprising things she learned from the very forthcoming twins she interviewed.
Our own Gretchen Ipock will also speak on the benefits of your local library. Did you know that your local library can help you track down any book in the county system? It’s a great way to save money on books. Speaking of saving money – and shelf space … we’re organizing a book swap at this meeting? If you have a great book that you think other members would enjoy, and don’t mind lending it out for a bit, bring it along. Comment on Facebook if you are searching for a specific title of a new book to borrow.
The club’s traveling library will also be at the meeting. There are tons of great titles on topics from feeding to potty training to talking about changing bodies. Check it out!
We meet at the Cornerstone Christian Church in Broomall, 2275 West Chester Pike. We have members coming from all areas. So if you are new and would like to come with someone, reach out on our Facebook page. Chances are someone lives close by or is traveling in your direction and would love to give you a ride.
Hope to see you all on Jan. 15!
